CURATORIAL EXHIBITIONS & PROJECTS

Curator: from Latin: cura, meaning "to take care"

It was 2012 when I first embarked on my journey as an independent curator at music and art festivals throughout Europe and Asia.

In 2015, as the Gallery Director of Artelier Gallery Kuala Lumpur, I was proud to be the first to introduce and represent selected Malaysian contemporary artists to the art world in Cologne, Germany.

In 2018, while attending the Art Business Course in Christie’s London, I received my certification in ‘How to be an Independent Curator’, a professional course in Central St Martins, London, UK. Since then, I have represented over 150 artists, and curated countless exhibitions, workshops, screenings, and projects in 11 countries, and now mostly in California, USA.

To be a curator, is to be an overseer, a content and subject specialist charged with interpretations and collections, and one in charge of conceiving, organising exhibitions or events. This includes writing, press, team, permits, transportation, environment, and atmospheric management.

In other words, a curator does it all.

One of my great pleasures in life is working alongside artists and creatives whose concept, vision and message I can expand into creating a tangible, physical experience that’s impactful and profitable.

As a community curator, education and outreach plays a pivotal role, and many of my projects instill training and mentoring upcoming artists and activists in curatorial skills to co-create exhibitions.

I am currently only available for online website projects, and am not accepting applications for in-person events until the Summer/Autumn season of 2025.
